Ashley Corbin, founder of Light Up South, has turned his lifelong passion for craftsmanship into a business that creates unique props, games, and entertainment for weddings, events, and corporate clients across the UK.
Born in Portsmouth in 1986, Ashley grew up fascinated by cars and woodwork. After completing a modern apprenticeship in boat building and training as a qualified joiner, he spent years refining his skills before becoming self-employed in 2019. Since then, he has built a reputation for bespoke event props, mini golf courses, and innovative entertainment ideas that stand out for their quality and originality.

Outside of work, Ashley has a love for classic cars, owning a 1964 Ford Thunderbird, a 1964 Mercury Montclair, and a 1978 MGB Roadster that holds family significance as his wedding car. Alongside his wife Willow and their cocker spaniel Aspen, Ashley enjoys travelling to destinations like Norway and Iceland, paddle boarding by the coast, and slow-smoking meats for family gatherings.
Today, Light Up South is recognised as a trusted name for event entertainment in Fareham, Hampshire, and beyond, with a growing base of repeat customers and a waitlist that proves the demand for Ashleyβs work.
